Thanksgiving is ending and Christmas is officially here. As this time passes and the holidays are actually here, my heart saddens knowing it will be a while before I am with my family and friends for the holidays again. But a wise master of kung fu reminded me "that yesterday is History, tomorrow is a Mystery, and today is a gift and that is why they call it present". I have to remind myself to remain in the moment of today and soak everything in.
But before I put this new philosophy into practice I will go back to some yesterdays for a moment of thanks...
I give thanks to God for knowing what is best for me even when I don't see it, and I give thanks to Him for never leaving me and always having His presence upon me.
I give thanks to my boss, friend, DAD!!! He knows me better than I know myself and I thank him for his encouragement - that keeps me going-, forgivness - that keeps on giving-, and Love - that has made me who I am today!!!
I give thanks to m y mom --I heart MOM-- She has showed me what true servant hood is and how to love others through the act of giving herself -which is probably the most difficult display of LOVE- I will carry that with me through all my days.
I wanna also give a shout out to a couple other people....
Avie and Joy - thanks for loving me, just me, the way I am
Jon- thanks for being the brother I never had
Jackie- thanks for letting the good times roll
Waligora- Thanks for the ear and times of laughter
Edwin- thanks for being a constant in my life as well as a friend I can always turn to
Kalyn- thanks for your encouragement that lets me know I am on the right track
Noah- thanks for believing in me and standing firm in that
Kevin- thanks for treating me like a sis' and making work not feel like work
Melissa- thanks for being with me in the most important decision of my life ( for now)
Naomi- Thanks for being the kewlest sister ever
My financial supporters- Thanks for your hard earned gifts that you have given me so that I am able to go minister to children around the world
My prayer warriors- Thanks for your prayers and meeting with the King on behalf of me, I constantly feel His presence and know that it is because of you!!!
SO in this spirit of thankfulness I just wanna say thanks to all of you for being a part of my life. And as this chapter in my life is coming to an end I have not been left unchanged. I will spend these last days here is SF in today and not tomorrow for today is a gift and tomorrow is not even promised to us!!
