Praise Jesus for an amazing Sabbath!!!
Today was so refreshing…Sabbaths are to be used for the three R’s
Rest: make sure to get rested to be energized for the new week ahead and what God has in store for you.
Refresh: to be reminded of what God has done and of who He is.
Refocus: to regain Christ’s perspective for the new week ahead.
Today I took an hour walk to clear my head, which was much needed. God meet with me and walked with me, but it took 40 min of walking to get to that point. There was much turmoil going on inside of my head, but God took it and I have to continually give it to Him. Also the Lord revealed two things to me on the walk at the same time.
#1 Scripture memorization is more than a task, but something that ministers to your soul.
#2 That when we seek to serve others in LOVE, we become fulfilled. We (I) always think that when we seem to seek ways to gratify self, through relationships –obtaining them and maintaining them- you will always end up unsatisfied. But when you put others first –not expecting anything in return- and just serving them in LOVE (like in Gal 5:13) your soul has a sense of gratitude!!!!

Since God created satan does that make God resposible for evil? Eph. 2:10 “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” 2 Cor. 3:4-6 Location: a B757 flying over FL I just want to thank all of you that came to the mission fair, and all of you that wanted to come, to support me!! Thanksgiving is ending and Christmas is officially here. As this time passes and the holidays are actually here, my heart saddens knowing it will be a while before I am with my family and friends for the holidays again. But a wise master of kung fu reminded me "that yesterday is History, tomorrow is a Mystery, and today is a gift and that is why they call it present". I have to remind myself to remain in the moment of today and soak everything in. As time was approaching for me to make a decision to become a missionary I am beginning to become overwhelmed and worried with the thought. I opened up my devotional book on Friday, (Aug. 22) and this is the verse that God had given me... Sit back and grab a latte (mint mocha is my fav) as the story unravels of how it came to be that I am destined to Africa!!! |
